Hwy 87, Arizona

In different areas of the world, a strange custom has developed. Isolated trees by a road or a highway will become covered with shoes or other objects, placed by young people from nearby communities and sometimes by travelers. These shoes and objects will sometimes have messages written on them, or simply the name of the person or a declaration of love.
On my way to Payson, Arizona, I saw this particular shoe tree on the side of the highway. I just had to pull over to get a closer look, and of course some pictures!

I know! It look like it fell down initially but I saw it just this afternoon and it looks like it’s been tampered with. I have no idea what happened!!
