Pattaya City, Thailand

I love elephants! So when I found out about the wonderful work that Pattaya Elephant Village was doing, I had to go. Filled with rescued elephants, Pattaya Elephant Village is an elephant sanctuary that adopts sick and injured elephants and trains them to perform for audiences. During these perfomances, elephant trainers educate people about these beautiful animals. Some of the elephants play basketball, some roll logs, some stand on their hind legs, and all are amazing. Audiences come to see the elephants perform, but they leave with an increased awareness and appreciation for these beautiful animals. The entrance fees contribute to the well-being and survival of the elephants in the sanctuary, as well as future rescue efforts.
