Zion National Park, Utah

I was driving out of Zion National Park to head home after an amazing photography workshop when I noticed cars pulled over and cameras flashing. I figured I would just keep going. After all, there are so many photography opportunities in Zion that I might never leave the park if I stopped for each one. But then I locked eyes on what everyone was looking at, and I immediately pulled over and got my camera.

Standing on top of a rock, gazing down at the crowd that he had attracted, was a beautiful big horn sheep. His stance, the trees around him, the beautiful blue sky and perfect clouds behind him…all combined to create a once in a lifetime photography opportunity.
