Siem Reap, Cambodia

As you can see, touring Angkor Wat is truly a hands-on experience. A tomboy at heart, I climbed up the stairs to see more of the temple. I marveled for about 15 minutes and then decided to climb back down to do more exploring. However, climbing up those stairs was not nearly as frightening as climbing DOWN. Let’s just say I had a full blown panic attack and eventually needed help climbing down. It wasn’t my finest hour, but do I regret it? Not at all. Life would be awfully boring if we never ventured into places that we weren’t sure we could get out of. ๐Ÿ™‚
